Need help ordering cheap parts to replace old pc

I'm not in the computer repair business any more, but I still help one customer I have history with because he's old and trusts me. His computer was blue-screening randomly and was having a hard time booting up, so I suggested he buy an SSD hard drive. We installed windows on his new hard drive, and he blue-screened again. When we turned the pc back on we heard fans and had no picture. I'm suggesting that we build a new pc of the same power from scratch, but i'm not really sure the best parts to buy. His computer's current specs are the following: Any suggestions? Planning on reusing the ram and cd drive.

The RAM is DDR2 667mhz so I would not reuse that. It would be cheaper to just buy a new 4gb stick of DDR3.

for the money your better off having him buy a new hp or dell. he get a new copy of windows with the pc and a warranty.
the old pc most time it the old power supply or a cap on the mb that goes bad. if he wants a cheap fix try a new 430w cosair power supply they run about 19.00 on sale. if he wants faster pc the use an amd apu and mb and one 4g stick of ddr3 ram or b87 mb and a g cpu from intel and one stick of ram. if the intel haswell cpu is used you have to use a haswell approved power supply.
