I've tried using AMD Overdrive to some extent and any time I adjust the multiplier and voltage it lasts seconds before my computer crashes. Is there any advice for how to adjust my multiplier and voltage?

I have an Evo 212

That cooler obviously doesn't cool the VRMs; how are you cooling them? Does it crash while booting or only when stress testing it? If it crashes at boot, then you should try overclocking in the BIOS instead of using AOD.

Sorry, I am very new to OCing. I have tried using the bios. I followed the steps taken here http://www.ocinside.de/workshop_en/amd_fm2_overclock/#oc_10 but some how my computer continues to bluescreen. While they clocked to 5 or 6 I only went to 4.5.

You are unhappy with 4.5 GHz and you'd like to reach 5.0 GHz (6.0 GHz isn't possible without extreme cooling)? You can't expect to reach the same overclock while using a less expensive motherboard and your CPU may not be as overclocking friendly as theirs. Replacing the motherboard may help, but is it worth it?
