Need help over clocking

So I have the AsRock z77 Extreme 4 Mobo and intel core i5-3570k and I want to overclock my i5 from 3.4ghz and 1.25volts to 4ghz but I don't even know where to start please help I want my computer to be stable temp and everything too I have my processor hooked up to a corsair h50 water cooler so that will cool it but I don't know how to over clock and once I over clock do I keep it at 4ghz or does it go back down to stock after heavy gaming use

why do you want to overclock? If its just for gaming you should be more than fine and you pry wont see a big if any gain in gaming.
