I plan to overclock a decent amount, and I like listening to music, so good audio is a plus. Otherwise I'm not too sure what I should be looking for. So far I've found these after some research:

If one of these is the best choice or there is something else available that is better that I have missed please let me know. In terms of price, I want to keep it at a max of around $220 (the price of the Maximus VII Impact).

Well tbh, based on what you are saying you need, the impact is the "best" sure, but you don't really get anything extra for the extra money. I think if the only thing other then a Z (87 or 97 is the same for this build) chipset that you want is good audio, I would be inclined to get something like an Astrock and use the extra 150 dollars or so on a good sound card.

Thanks! I'm super excited for this build, I've been saving up for a while. I'm building in the Caselabs Mercury S3.

Is there any Asrock mobo in particular that you are referring to? Also, since it is a mini ITX board it will only have one PCI extension slot, meaning I won't be able to use a sound card, correct?
