So I originally bought my PC for WiFi use only but now i need to use ethernet because comcasts wifi is just terrible in my area. Got a cable and found out i have no card for ethernet.

Not sure what information is needed to pick one or be sure if it is compatible. So Ill link my mobo and if you need more info let me know.

Gigabyte 970A-DS3P

You need to load the drivers for it. They would be on the CD that came with the motherboard, or you can download them from Gigabyte. If you knew you weren't going to use it, you may not have loaded these drivers when you first set up your system.

I am not sure as i do not know what i am looking for when looking inside the case. There is a metal looking case over the part where my ethernet cable gets plugged into on the inside. I just know that when i plugged my ethernet into my pc i got a green light, but no connection
