Hey all,

I need some help choosing a monitor to get to hook up with my gaming computer.

Currently I'm using a very shitty TV which does not do my computer justice.
I have roughly £100-£200. However, the cheaper the monitor, the more likely I am to get dual display (rather quality over quantity though!).

Here are my specs;

CPU
Intel Core i5 4670K @ 3.40GHz 26 °C
Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate(MS-7850) (SOCKET 0) 29 °C
Graphics
1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series (XFX Pine Group)

I will take any suggestions and opinions, please give reasons for your picking,

Thanks for your help guys!

well then if you do plan on upgrading
and dicide to go with a powerful GPU like gtx 970/780 AMD 280X and upwards
youll be better og going with a 144Hz monitor
for that id suggest a BenQ XL 2411Z
it is 1080p 1ms 144Hz
and its got several gamer friendly features like blur reduction, black equalizer, low blue light etc...
this is the cheapest you can find with these specs
im running one
and it works like a charm

Can't really go wrong with one of the Korean IPS panels. I've been using one for about 3 years now. This model and the Crossover model are just at the £200 mark. This guy is offering a year warranty on this particular part. The picture is superb (these are LG panels); and the screen real estate on a 27" 1440p display just puts every 1080p monitor to shame.

Tbh, I only want one screen for gaming, the other for facebook, etc.

I will be upgrading my whole computer, including gpu and psu, just not at this precise time.

I am going to be upgrading my GPU/PSU soon. The monitors will be for Christmas. I've just started working, haven't received my first pay packet as of yet, so will upgrade when I can afford.

I've heard good things about Korean IPS monitors!

Anyways, OP what do you plan on upgrading to? It helps us give you recommendations. Also, what sorts of games do you play?
