Need help picking Graphics card and PSU to upgrade my dell system with

For some reason this keeps not posting correctly.

1)I need to upgrade my graphics card.
2)I need to upgrade my PSU to do that (probably).
3)My current PSU is a little over 300W.
4)I need to spend 100$ total, preferably less.
5)The upgrade needs to let me play High def video, and fairly recent games, like oblivion, and fallout 3.
6)I need to know how to tell which PSU's will be compatible with my computer.
7)I could use some suggestions for specific Graphics cards or PSUs.

Antec EA series psu will fit and function fine in your D510, the 380 would be my choice, there's really no need for anything close to 500 watts in that machine.
Video card, the PD is going to choke anything more powerful than a 9800 GT, and even that will take a performance hit.

What is the model of your Dell computer? Dimension or Inspiron? I'm pretty sure your computer can handle a ATI HD 4670 videocard without the need for you to spend another $50 Dollars on a new power supply, unless you want to get a more powerful videocard.

Also, make sure that the videocard you get is single bracket and not double bracket (unless you like modifying the case to fit a double bracket).

You said your current Dell PSU is a little over 300W. So I'm guessing it's just like my Dell 305W PSU with a total of 22amps on the combined +12V rails.

Yeah, I would try just upgrading to the 4670 first and if you need the psu pick it up later.

I already learned the difference between single and double brackets by buying a double by accident.

And I managed to find a card that should run on my current PSU by working of your suggestions, thanks. ^_^

I'll be back with more pesky questions when I get enough cash to build an entirely new computer from scratch.
