I'm helping my brother to build his first pc but I am not the best at picking parts, would be great if someone could help me a bit.
He mainly plays Minecraft and wants to be able to play it at 144fps and it would be nice if he could play some other (maybe more GPU based) games at 60fps. I feel like this system would work but I could probably make it a lot cheaper so if anyone has some feedback I would appreciate it!

PS: it would be nice if all parts can be bought from Amazon.

What's your budget and monitor resolution or is the monitor to be included in the build?

We can do a little better than that for the money. Not really any cheaper though.

A little more bling, faster video card (double the VRAM, which will help later on)

Do you think something like this would be the minimum to get the 144fps in Minecraft and 60fps in some other games? Or could it be downgraded in some way?

Monitor is 144hz and 1080p and I already have it.
The budget is around €800 but the cheaper the better as long as it reaches the right fps

Well, you were already looking at hundreds of FPS for minecraft. It is the 'other' games where a faster GPU will come in handy. Also going to be ALOT longer before this needs to be replaced. Another reason I like the Intel build is there is room for some improvement on the CPU in the future. (It also looks cooler, which should appeal to younger people).

Minecraft stock will run on a potato. But there are modifications, shaders, texture packs, ray-tracing (by the by, RTX3050 can do that last one, the GTX1650 would not) to consider.

Really start running into bad value for money below the RX6600 and RTX3050. GTX1650 is a decent upgrade to an existing low power system, but not something I would pick for a new build.

Isn't this missing a graphics card?

Ok I'll see if I can get him to up his budget a bit 😉

We can always go lower, just depends on where you want to compromise. There is also the used market to look at. Should be tons of used mining GPUs flooding the markets about now.

GTX 1650 launched in 2019 and is the cheap version of the RTX 20 series.
GTX3050 launched in January of this year. With 8GB of VRAM it has a much better chance of an enjoyable experience with more recent games and games that are coming out. Going to be a lot of gaming laptops with the lighter version of this GPU.

If it is a specific Euro country, then we could be more definitive.

A little worse, but not too bad.
