Need Help Please

I was using WinToGo with my Seagate External Drive and then after I restarted my files were lost. Can I retrieve them

So this is a brand new 'os install' on an external?
What 'files' do you need to 'retrieve'?

Your photos were on that drive?
Then you tried to create that as a bootable external?
And now it doesn't work?

1. This is what backups are for.
2. Why were you trying to make that external drive bootable?

Maybe try Recuva or TestDisk to retrieve those files. I wouldn't hold out much hope, though.
