Need help please

Hi there i am getting a floppy disc error (40) when booting up my pc ive went into the bios setting and watched a few videos on how to fix this but cannot find the same settings or selections they are all showing i have windows 8.1 and my mobo is a nvidia 650i ultra and i do not have a floppy drive in the case plz help

You should be able to turn off the Floppy disk detection within your BIOS - Press F2 or sometimes DEL when you first switch on your PC to get into the bios. Take a look in the menus for any references to Floppy drive and switch it off.

Ive been searching to bios for about 30 mins now and cannot find anything to do with floppy anything anywhare lmao im lost is windows 8.1 bios that different from any before it lol

What is the model of your mobo? Nvidia? or a diff brand?

Alls i have for boot settings is first 'second 'third boot device and boot other device and boot up numlock status and the settegs are 1st-cdrom'2nd hard disk'3rd-removable and then enabled for boot other and on for numlock status

Look at the manual for your mobo GOTO PAGE 97

It references disabling the floppy drive under "Boot Up Setting".

Try opening the link with a different browser. Or find your actual manual!

Go into the bios and its in the "Standard CMOS Features menu"
Change Drive A to "none"
