I just was using my computer today with my Gigabyte 1070 ti and it was all working when i was doing HW. But then there was an update so i updated it. while it was updating i was trying to plug in a DVI to my card and plaug my other monitor in, it didnt work it was a differents dvi cord and then it boots on with no display. Please i need help. i am plugged into my MOBO right now and using the comp right now. i just want to know if i wasted my money on a graphics card....

"I wasted my money on a graphics card?" - I mean...if you don't plan on gaming or such on your PC, then yes, you wasted your money.....
Have you unplugged the second monitor?
Now that you've gotten the primary monitor working off your mobo, have you tried going back to the GPU output? Perhaps Windows got confused and tried to make the 2nd monitor the primary.
Have/can you check in Nvidia settings while hooked up to the mobo and see if there's any input settings to be adjusted to fix this problem? (sorry, I've been away from Nvidia GPUs for a couple years)
