[SOLVED] Need help please

Hello. I have this pc currently that I’ve moved to another case.

I have ordered the Asus tuf X570 WiFi, rtx 2060 super, ryzen 7 3700x, and some ram. Will the psu work? There’s currently a 6 pin connector for the gpu I’m using. Im not sure if there is an 8 pin connector for the gpu on the psu and I don’t want to plug something incorrectly. Do I need a new psu?

The connector you're holding up looks fuzzy but I can make out that it's a 6+2pin PCIe cable which meant for a GPU, meaning the 2 pins do not need to go into the GPU you have. To add, might I ask what the age of the PSU is? You might need a little higher wattage unit(reliably built) for the sake of longevity.

Well the 2 pins that I’m holding are zip tied to the 6 pin cable I’m holding. The psu is about 2ish years old but I’m planning on upgrading my psu as soon as they are not overpriced still. Are you saying I could use that cable? It’s completely separate from the Cable that I’m currently using in my gpu.

Is there any harm in plugging in that cable I took the picture of into my new gpu? It was not plugged into anything before. The cable currently in my gpu is labeled p9 and it is a 6pin cable, but the p10 is 6+2 pin. Will it do damage to the gpu by using p10?

It's safe, it's what is used to be called 8 pin (6+2) fo the gpu as already said above,

I have another Similar question, is there any risk of any damages if I don’t force the cables in anywhere? Like for the gpu or cpu power for example ? The motherboard I’m getting has a 4+8 pin atx and my psu only has 4+4 pin power. Is that ok to use? In the last picture you can see that the two 4 pin translucent cables are the ones I’m referring to. Would those be sufficient for an X570 board?

First the ATX connector is usually 24 pins or 20+4. The CPU connector is usually 4 + 4. The Graphics cards these days are 8 + 8, but they are usually 6+2 each. That is what it is with the GTX 1080 I have in here. I have a Modular PSU and haven't checked the extra cables to see what is in there. There may be an 8 pin Connector or two.

The Connector you are holding in in fact the one that provides power to the Graphics Card. My Last Card was a GTX 980. That took two 6 pin connectors. The GTX I have in here now takes two 8 pin ( 6+2 ) connectors. As Far as the PSU goes. That card requires 550w and personally I would go at least 650w ( I have been known for PSU over kill elsewhere ). The main concern is something I haven't been able find and that is the Amps on the +12 volt rail. That is probably as important if not more so than the PSU Watts.

The 24 pin goes in the 24 pin connector,
the 2x4pin is the same as one 8 pin eps connector and goes in the top of the motherboard, (your motherboard only needs one EPS connector so you should be fine),
then use the 8pin (6+2) to give power to the gpu.

If things don't seem to fit, look again, they should go in with little force, if you need alot of force recheck if you have the connector the right way. Make sure they are in all the way.

In all honesty, if you bother to buy such nice components would i take the opportunity to get a really nice psu as well. Think this one should work, but really recommend to get something really good.

There’s a 650w gold fully modular for $100. Which seams to be a good deal but if I’m spending this much I’d just rather get one that has an 8 pin eps as well so I don’t have to get another psu soon. Is it worth the extra eps?

That is a good psu.

Other options if the RM doesn't work out.
