[SOLVED] Need Help pls

A friend of mine started a build and went through all that he could he ran into some problems I ran him through it all but at some point I believe he pressed the cmos reset button and it seems he cannot connect to any internet and its saying he doesnt have internet drivers but cant get the drivers because he has no internet. What are his options ? I'm kind of at a loss as he has tried ethernet as well and no dice.
He has a X58 Sli Mobo w an i7 920

I had him reinstall windows and it works. He said he did it but I guess he didnt.
