ok well i cant figure it out my pc just shuts off at random usuly only under heavy load. it is overclocked but the clocks where stable and whjen restore stock defualts or change clocks it still same problem. im wondering if it could bne software or hardware related however i dont get a blue screen and it dont freeze. it just shuts off like ya pulled the plug.

the psu is about 3-4yrs old however there spose to be good for atleast 5 so nopt sure what it is any help would be great

yea, corsair just came up after i got this one. but yea when i do upgrade that part it'll prolly be a corsiar they seem to work good. as far as the brand, well it was somthin new at the time but was there top tier product so until i can verify that it's a psu problem kinda why back to op i asked cause most people i know use only laptops

Well, if it was a different issue, I'd think there would be a blue screen, or a log. A power cut wouldn't generate such a thing. I don't know of any Cooler Master Psu's that aren't crap honestly. Corsair Psu's are solid, with some being better than others but they are all decent at least. The CX line is a good budget line, but the CXM, AX, TX are all great units.

The bios is managed by whomever your motherboard manufacturer is. So check the Gigabyte website, look for your model of motherboard, and check to see what the latest bios revision is. I'll bet that you don't have the latest bios. However, I wouldn't expect this to solve your issue, but it never hurts to try(assuming the bios update works ok).
