need help raising volume on my ASUS VX228H monitor

I am having the same trouble raising the volume on my ASUS VX228H monitor. When I click "Volume down" button it reduces the volume but when I click the "brightness/volume up" button it just shows that the brightness is at 100%. There doesn't seem to be a way to change it from brightness to volume control. I've looked at the online manual and couldn't find anything addressing this situation. Any help would be appreciated.

Press the volume button and then while the 'volume range' is being displayed press the up arrow. (I think - I'm not at home to make sure)
or you can access Volume, thru the normal Menu. Volume can be found in the System Setup menu.

The "Brightness Down" button is the volume display button. Click it once and the volume display will show up. Then use the brightness up button to increase the volume.
