[SOLVED] Need help, random fps drops in game Overwatch

Just bought a new Asus fx504 15.6 inch gaming laptop with an i7-8750H 6 core cpu, 12gb ddr4 ram 2666mhz, gtx 1050 4gb version, 1tb SSHD, 120hz screen


Im getting a pretty consistent 120 fps in overwatch 1080p with settings turned to low, however I could occasionally notice these fps drops from like 120 to 90 for about 0.5-1 second, which happens about 1-2 times per minute of gameplay, which is quite noticeable, however the game is still overall running smoothly. Im not sure why these drops are happening, I don't think its thermals because I have a cooling pad and my laptop doesn't feel too hot. Could it be the SSHD?

Please ensure that you are running 'High Performance' mode in your battery settings on the laptop.

Also, re-install / update your graphics drivers to the latest.
