My MSI laptop died (bad mother board) and I'm trying to recover the data from the drives.
I've removed the drive controller - which appears to be an nvme RAID controller with two 128gig drives. These were setup in RAID 0.

My new computer doesn't have an nvme slot to test with, so I'm considering buying an nvme external enclosure - with the hopes of plugging in this RAID controller.

Is there any chance that external enclosure would be able to read from the RAID controller as-if it were a real drive?
Any other options for recovering the data from the two drives?

Below are pictures of the raid controller as removed from the broken laptop:

One good reason not to use RAID 0 is that most implementations of it vary by manufacturer.

If you had a branded (Adaptec, LSI) controller you might be able to get it to work on a new controller. But I would not use it even on one of them.

There is almost no chance (like well under a percent) that you will be able to recover the data using an external controller.
