Im upgrading an old build and could use some help. I put together an msi mpg x570 gaming plus, ryzen 5 5600x/non igpu, amd radeon rx 6500xt. Its running an older power supply but upgrading that soon as well. The issue is i believe i got the bios update done as i finally got the gpu to turn on. But i have the red cpu light burning like a fire in the night and no idea how to get it off. No video assuming because of the cpu light. I have checked and rechecked the cpu and plugins. Everything is right. Just seeing if there may have been something i missed. Any help is appreciated.

The bios for that cpu on that motherboard has to be at least 7C37vAG. for that cpu to work. Updating BIOS with Flash BIOS Button Before updating: Please download the latest BIOS file that matches your motherboard model from MSI® website and rename the BIOS file to MSI.ROM. And then, save the MSI.ROM file to the root of USB flash drive. Important Only the FAT32 format USB flash drive supports updating BIOS by Flash BIOS Button. 1. Connect power supply to CPU_PWR1 and ATX_PWR1. (No other components are necessary but power supply.) 2. Plug the USB flash drive that contains the MSI.ROM file into the Flash BIOS Port on rear I/O panel. 3. Press the Flash BIOS Button to flash BIOS, and the LED near the Button starts flashing. 4. After the flashing BIOS process is 100% completed, the LED would be off (from your manual)

Yes i found this. The issue is i get a good 3 flashes out of the bios led and thats it. I have found something stating the flash drive must be under 32gb. If thats true then i need a new flash drive. Does this really matter?

So went back to the bios update and was able to get that part done. Smaller flash drive and the button kicked my system on and updated. But still no video and cpu light on.
