I am currently looking to upgrade SSD ( Samsung 850 EVO 256gb) along with new ram. My current system got 3 gb ram ( 2gb + 1 gb ). from crucial.com test i gathered that i can upgrade my RAM to max 8GB.
laptop configuration: Intel Core i5 2410M @ 2.30GHz
1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M (Dell)
here is one of the supported ram suggestion from crucial
my options are,
1) ditch my 3 gb ram totally and get new units. or use the 2 gb chip along with the new 4 gb ram module.
my current 2 gb ram module
3) get 8 GB kit (4GB x 2) like here
4) get 2 sticks of same 4GB ram like this one
i think 1 8gb module is not compatible with my build.
3rd option will cost me twice the 4th option. is it good idea to get 4th option? how to verify if its compatible with my build? my current ram screenshot is here.
