I just recently just rebooted my moms laptop to get all of my junk off it so she could have her's back.

But every thing is working but the wireless printer.I am tech savvy but i can not seem to get this to work no matter what i do.I even printed out the HP Network configuration page and every thing seems to be fine. Her desktop seems to work fine with the printer it is connected wireless all so.

And i want my new laptop with windows 10 64 bit home to work as well no matter what i try it comes up empty.

First install screen comes up says??? How are you going to connect to the printer to your computer.

Three selections Wireless which is what i want. Two USB and three Connect later.

I click on wireless since i need it to be a wireless printer.Than it checks for Checking network environment and nothing pops up but a second page.

1 Press the wireless button on the front of the printer to (see image on the right). Done that

2 What status do you see at the top of wireless information screen displayed on the printer.

Answers

1. I see a status as not connected or wireless off (or i am not sure)
2. I see the status is connected and the signal strength.

IT would be number 2 option since i do see all of it on the paper i printed out.

And it ask for the Ip address(or hostname) which i have tried both and still no go.

Any ideas here i am at a loss Be cause it will say on the next page Unable to retrieve computers network name. And yes there is a pass code on the wireless router.

That printer, HP Photosmart 5510 D, shows up as compatible with Windows 10 in this list. Have you tried running the latest driver software's for your designated printer? If not you can download them here. Just be sure to download the version that corresponds with your OS's version i.e 32 or 64bit.

Hope this helps.
