I have an Intel 80GB X25-M G2 with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. It does not show up in the BIOS unless I plug in my external WD 320GB usb drive. If I plug in the external usb dive it boots up fine. Chipset is AMD 790GX and set to AHCI, the ECS A790GXM-AD3 mobo to be exact. Please help. Thanks!

I cleared CMOS and now it works, no need for the USB drive to be connected. But if I switch from IDE to AHCI the BIOS menus become slow. You can see the screen refresh from top to bottom when you navigate thru the BIOS menus.
