Hello all. Trying to get a little more performance I tried switching expo profiles. Was at expo 1 getting an average of 260 fps in modern warfare 2. Switched to expo 2 and suddenly was at around 140. Switched back to expo 1 and same performance at 140fps. Tried restarting pc and power cycle. Turned off expo and same poor performance. X670e e gaming motherboard. Bios version was at 1101. Reverted back to 1004 to see if it would perform normal and still poor performance no matter what I do. Opened other games such as f1 22 and same poor performance. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Run Task Manager and Resource Monitor to observe system performance.

Use both tools but only one tool at time.

Determine what system resources are being used, to what extent (%), and what is using any given system resource. First without Modern Warfare running and then with Modern Warfare running.

And/or other apps as you deem necessary to run and observe performance.

Hopefully, without any earlier data for comparison purposes (pre - expo 2) something will still stand out as the culprit.

Take a look at memory and overclocking.

Maybe start here:

Then do additional searches based on search criteria specific to your built and configuration settings.

I used resorce monitor and task manager. Found no obvious problems. Decided to re install windows and the problem is now resolved. Not exactly sure how a change to ram expo in bios caused a windows file issue. Very weird but thank you for the response and help.
