So lately i have had this problem and i have been trying to fix it for ages and it is driving me crazy.
essentially what is happening when i launch a game my icon goes green and it says i am playing it for a brief second. then my icon goes blue and nothing launches. the only temporary fix i have found for this which is super annoying is to uninstall steam and reinstall the game every time i turn off my PC or change steam accounts, or anytime i close down steam. this is really tedious and it consumes a lot of time because i have to re download all of steam and the game each time there seems to be no other fix i can find so i need some help.

Things i have tried:
-Ge-force experience updates
-driver updates
-verify the steam files

again nothing seems to work except for uninstalling steam and the game and reinstalling each time, but this is getting very tedious and it pisses me off.

Specs:
CPU: Intel core i5 6600k
GPU: Hall of Fame. GTX 1080
Motherboard: Asus Z170-AR
Ram: Corsair vengeance 16gb DDR4
PSU: 750watt Thermaltake
Storage: 1TB HDD, 500GB SSD

Thanks in advance for the help.

Well, for one, you can at least save time by right-clicking the game in Steam, selecting Local Files, and clicking "Verify Game Cache" (something like that). It should check for missing files and correct without you needing to re-install everything.

Second, it's a little hard to guess at your issue here. I'd try running windows disk-repair utility on both of your drives, and try running memtest86 on your memory overnight. See either report any errors.
