Honestly, No. These rental places should be outlawed, same as Payday loan services, but I digress. I admit, I don't now much about the pre-built market, but I've known people who have bought pcs from cyberpower, I buy power etc, and what i saw there with a quick glance is cheaper and far better than anything Rental services can offer... I saw the one you linked said 2100+ dollars for same as cash, and the other was 140 a month for I don't know how long.

I'd keep the monthly payment for those system each month for 6 or 7 months, after that you could get a decent PC from elsewhere paid off up front, instead of paying over 3k for a PC only worth 1200 dollars or so.

Besides, this might be frowned upon on Tom's but the best games you can play right now are on PS4. I use mine way more than my gaming PC, so if you don't have a playstation already I'd pick one up, pretty cheap used anymore

Absolutely not.
No way, no how.

You're paying at least twice, sometimes 4x, what that actually costs.

And..here's a little kicker for ya...the "rental" places often install a backdoor application where they can disable the system if you miss a payment.
And the REAL kicker is that does not get turned off after the "final payment". Numerous reports of systems getting bricked after what should have been paid off, but their paperwork got screwed up.

Do not do this.
However meager your finances may be...those things are an absolute ripoff.

As has been said, those are not a good price, and even ignoring the price some questionable choices were made with those builds.

The first one only has a single 8GB stick of DDR4-2400 RAM, while Ryzen CPUs perform their best with two sticks of faster memory. Then, it only has an RX 550 2GB for a graphics card, which is a really low-end card. The same goes for the second one, which again has a single 8GB stick of RAM, though it includes a GTX 1050 2GB graphics card, which is at least somewhat faster, but the price, on payments, is even higher. No way are these systems worth anything close to that much.

I have little doubt that you could build a much faster computer than that, with a better monitor and other peripherals, for less than $1000. If you were willing to put together a system yourself, that would probably be the way to go. If not, you should still likely be able to find some pre-built systems with better specs for around $1000 if you save up money for a few months to buy them in one go without relying on payments, particularly if you look for sale prices online.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100897449%20601296777%20601296740%20601281510%20601205853%20601204432%20601314319%20601314311%20601314316%20601314307%208000%204814&IsNodeId=1&LeftPriceRange=0%20900&bop=And&Order=BESTMATCH&PageSize=36

Here for example, I did a search at Newegg for new prebuilt systems with modern CPUs and GTX 1060 or RX 480/570/580 graphics cards priced under $900, that should be much faster at gaming than either of those systems. Add a 24" or larger monitor for $100-$150, and you'll have a better gaming PC at a fraction of the cost.

Then you sure as heck don't want to waste your money paying double the market cost for a gaming computer. Get a used gaming setup for a few 100, plenty on craigslist for $300-400 with good enough specs to run modern games.

One can even get a used i5 2nd or 3rd generation Dell/HP with Windows installed, 8GB RAM and a used GT 1030 separately for $200 or less. Not great but decent enough for gaming.
