Yes this is dual PC setup to give you best experience possible.
GTX1180 will be out soon. I recommend getting that instead of GTX1080Ti.
Covered nearly all of your requirements to give you the best for your budget.

This if you want a single PC solution that can do everything. I do agree on the GTX1180 over a 1080ti.
The 970 pro for OS and programs. The 1tb MX500 for games, and the 500gb MX500 to use as a scratch disk, if you feel it necessary.

@1440p, I highly doubt the difference would be noticeable. Higher res depends more on the GPU.
