Need help to build my PC

Ok first of all I don't know ANYTHING about computers 🙁 so basically when I bought mine I set a budget and the guy from the shop built it, after months I decided to buy a new video card (Gtx 1050 ti) but now I don't know what to buy and I checked on "Can I run it" if I will be able to run Witcher 3 and it says that I can't so... I need help please

These are my specs:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4160 CPU @ 3.60GHz

Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

Video Card #2 Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400

RAM 8.0 GB

Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 (build 15063), 64-bit

You ought to be able to run Witcher 3, albeit with the settings turned down. Make sure that your monitor is connected to the GPU, not the motherboard.

Thanks for the reply, yes I have the monitor connected to the GPU.

Well but for example I don't want to run the game with low settings I want a better experience, maybe not running everything on Ultra but something between high and medium. I feel like the video card is not that bad, should I upgrade my processor or?

At medium 1080p, you'd expect a 1050ti to get in the neighborhood of 50 fps with an i7-5960x (Techspot benchmarked a slightly better GPU in the low 50s and a slightly worse one than the 1050ti in the high 40s). You probably lose another 8-10 fps with the CPU (there are minimal gains for this game above an i5-3470). So given the lack of specific benchmarking for this combo, I'd expect you to get 40-45 or so with your build.

Your parts are well matched. If you upgraded the GPU significantly enough to be worthwhile, you'll likely need a CPU upgrade as well. There's also the issue of your power supply. All this depends on your need, budget, and willingness.
