Need help to fix side by side configuration is incorrect error

i have windows 7 professional 64 bit and recently i installed the game world of tanks and i started getting this error. what could be causing it.is there any way to fix it.please help.

The error says: The application has failed to start because of its side by side configuration is incorrect.Please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more details.

i tried this, it didnt work.he says to replace that number with the largest one in the list.but in my one apart from the one named default theres only one in the list and the value of that is equal to the one in the default.

Looks like an error with MS Visual C++ redistributable package, not with WoT itself. It seems that you will need to reinstall this package as per instructions in this post.

Thanks for the suggestions but it seems that the problem was with some of my game files that was missing or corrupted due to some reason.After running a 'check integrity' i was able to get it working.
