The way I bricked my WNDR3400 was I flashed DD-WRT firmware to it. It was the correct firmware, but then when i upgraded the firmware a second time to the mega version, I accidentally interfered with the download. I have searched many forums on DD-WRT and beyond, all telling me to ping my router, then try to use TFTP to quickly flash a new firmware to the router when I turn it on.

1. I can in fact ping the router ip is (192.168.1.25)<==statick ip I set
2. I have tried the 30 30 30 reset. This did not do much for me
3. I have the tftp2.exe on my computer and have tried using it (never worked)
4. I don't know which firmware I should try to flash, and how to do it correctly.

Objective: just get back to the gui where I can configure my router and use it again

I'm in the same boat with a WD Range Extender. Tried installing OpenWrt wirelessly, a mistake. Connected the device via Ethernet cable to Windows XP PC, and it shows "OpenWrt.LAN:53" so I assume the firmware is on it, and the device seems to boot after 30-30-30 reset the Power LED blinks/flashes then Solid, however No WiFi LED which it did with the previous and underated stock firmware. TFTP2.exe worked sending the file to someone elses device who tried connecting "secretly" to my network's open guest s.s.i.d, as Wireshark showed the confirmation that firmware was installed, however I cannot get my device to respond to the PUT command and take the file? It pings, and there is chatter between it and the PC.

I will keep an eye in your...

Isn't that a 30 30 30 reset? hold the back pin hole down?

I will keep an eye in your thread, and let you know if I have any luck with anything short of serial port jtag, shorting pins, etc.
