[SOLVED] Need help updating ASRock x570 Steel Legend BIOS

Hi,

I'm trying to get my hands on a CPU to update the BIOS for it to be compatible with my Ryzen 5 5600X but I have a few questions.

On their website it is written that "To support Renoir/Ryzen™ 5000 processors, it requires to update the BIOS with Matisse CPU. "
But after that is is written "If you use Pinnacle Ridge or Picasso, please refer to the "Steps to Update Renoir/ Ryzen™ 5000 Supported BIOS" to update the BIOS. "

So does that mean that I absolutely need a 3000 (Matisse) CPU to update ? Or can I go with a Pinnacle Ridge CPU (say a Ryzen 5 1600) ?
The latter would be great because I can buy a CPU and return it for 90% of the price, therefore I'll go with the cheaper option.

I did ask AMD for a boot kit but they haven't responded in one week, despite my emails.

What is current BIOS version?

If your motherboard has Version 3.00 or higher, it will support the Ryzen 5000.

If your motherboard has version 2.80 or below, you can use a Pinnacle Ridge CPU by following the information in this PDF from their website.
