Need help updating BIOS

Hello, I installed the newest BIOS update for my ASUS Z170 Pro AURA motherboard and I have an issue where I can't find which file to use in BIOS to update it. There is no CAP file for me to update BIOS with in EZ Flash 3. What can I do?

You leave the CAP file unzipped in the root of a drive that EZflash can access, usually a USB drive, but EZFLASH can also read the root of your primary hard disk if I recall correctly.

I downloaded the newest BIOS update from ASUS's website but there is no CAP file in it for some reason. I have the ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming AURA

OK I see what happened, you downloaded just the management engine update and that HAS to be executed from windows and contains no CAP file.

This is the latest zipped BIOS for your motherboard - if you unzip it the CAP file is in it.

You probably downloaded last file in BIOS tab which is 'MEUpdateTool', not a BIOS file. You need to download BIOS file version 3501 instead.
