[SOLVED] Need help upgrading a GTX 970

PC will be used only for gaming purposes. 1080p 144 hz monitor. Overwatch and Borderlands 3. Benchmarking shows GPU is what is holding me back a little bit. Needing to upgrade the GTX 970 but no idea what to look at? Been reading posts but my head spins with all the numbers thrown out there as I have not looked at GPUs for about 3 years. Budget would be $500 or less.

You can get an a GTX 1660ti for far below $500.

He means he wants to upgrade FROM a 970. But like you said, a 1660(Ti) or 1060 would be a good choice
