[SOLVED] Need help upgrading CPU

Hello, I'm looking for a new CPU to pair with GTX 1060 6GB. Currently I have i5-4430 and its bottlenecking this GPU.
I'm thinking about i5-9400F or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, (if you think there are better choices let me know).
Also to make any of these CPU's work I'd need a new motherboard too because the one I currently have has this old LGA1150 socket and only supports DDR3 RAM which means that I'll need new DDR4 ram too.

What I'm asking you is to help me choose a new CPU/Motherboard/RAM which together would not exceed 350€ as I currently can't spend more than that.

Thanks for replying, but I looked up Ryzen 7 1700 and it has a pretty bad single thread performance almost the same as my current i5-4430, I forgot to mention I like to play older games sometimes which requires a good single thread performance, but I also play newer games so I kinda need a well balanced CPU for both.

Once overclocked the single/quad core performance becomes a bit better on the 1700, plus you have the additional cores/threads which can be utilized on newer AAA titles but if you'd like the higher clock Ryzen then the 2600 is still a great choice.

Unless the BIOS has been updated on the H310/B360/H370 or Z370 to accept that 9400F then it's going to require a Z390 motherboard. Whichever board you pick, besides the Z390, you may want to contact the retailer to find out if it's been updated or find a local store that can update the BIOS for you.

Can I update it by myself if update is available on the website to download? I've updated my current motherboards BIOS successfully.

The 9400F won't work on those boards that require a BIOS update (No display).

Sucks, because Z390 is pretty expensive here, it would break my 350euro budget

It does but if you assemble the build, minus the CPU and find a shop with a 8th gen Intel CPU that could update the BIOS for you quick for hopefully pretty cheap then that could be a option.

Yeah they offer an option to update it, I will try to ask them how would it work, like can they update it before shipping it to me or I have to go to their shop for that

Update: They told me that many of these new mobo's H310/B360/H370/Z370 etc... are already with the newest BIOS update which supports 9th generation Intel CPU's. However they do not guarantee that I'll get the one that has newest BIOS, and in order to get them to update it I have to personally go to their shop and bring my pc there, but I live in a different area far away from any of their shops, so its kinda messed up...

Nevermind. I found a
ASRock B365M PRO4,

which supports 9th gen of intel cpus and doesnt need any BIOS updates. I'm going straight for 9400F then.
