Hi everyone i just got this pc given to me and it has been put together about 3-4 years ago and it's not a bad pc it runs all my games quite decently but want to get something little better so i get better frames and dont have to compromise with the graphics as much. I have seen plenty of videos and threads about good budget cards but the issue is that i am new to this so dont know if a card is better than mine or not haha
I have heard about a 1050ti being decent card but then i recently heard that a 780 is better than 1050 and its a £100 cheaper. Help please ! :D

Motherboard- Gigabyte GA-78LMT
GPU- XFX R7700 Ghost series
CPU- AMD 4300 Quad core
PSU- Arctic Blue 850w
Case- No idea what it is and cant find the make.

Solution
It looks like the power supply has a 6 pin pci-ex connector and a 6+2 pin pci-ex connector. So then you can use a card that requires up to two 6 pin connectors or one 6 pin and one 8 pin connector.

You have lots of options. The CPU is more entry level though, so I wouldn't spend a crazy amount on the videocard. The 1050 Ti does pretty good with most games at 1080p, so that's probably the safest choice. A 780 is faster so if you can get it for that much less that's a great deal. Just remember that it uses substantially more power, which usually means it runs hotter which leads to more fan noise. Check inside the case to get an idea of how much space you have. Something like a 780 can be a lot bigger than a 1050 Ti.

your cpu limits what gpu you can run

max is a gtx 1050 ti

a gtx 780 is better, but would be held back quite bit

you would need to also upgrade the cpu to make use of it decently

What about the mentioned gtx780 ? I was leaning more towards that because of the cheap price tag.

Awesome! The 780 goes for around £50-£70 where the 1050ti is a £150 and above. Im pretty sure the case will have enough space and if it wont then i'll just grab a new bigger one. As to it running hot i dont have a big issue with that so it will be a perfect choice :) Thanks alot !
