Need help Upgrading my Acer G3620

Hello! I want to upgrade my GPU since it's really old. My question is what GPU is the best for my rig. I Also heard that acer lock their motherboards so u cant upgrade your GPU. Here are my specs:
i5 3350p
GT 640
500w PS
8bg Ram
Intel® B75 Express Chipset MB any help would be appreciated

I've never heard of a manufacturer locking out GPU upgrades. For an i5 3350p you'd have pretty good luck with any midrange card. Any higher than say a GTX 1060 6GB or RX 590 and you'll have problems with the CPU holding them back. Right now the best performance for the money is going to be an RX 570. They are stupid cheap for the performance you get. It will require 1 6 pin power connection though, so make sure your computer has one. If it doesn't you can always pick up a Molex or SATA power to 6 pin adapter. If you simply don't have the connections then a GTX 1050 3GB is your best option as the vast majority of them don't require external power.
