i created my gaming pc in 2011 and its done me justice so far how ever playing Dragon age inquisition on it (i never got around to play it) i noticed the graphics are locked to lowest settings and it eats up my memory.

i have a limit of around £200-£400

i hope to play battlefront this year i get feeling its going be over that limit. but these are my current pc set up

CPU: AMD Athlon™II X4 645 Quad-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology

MOTHERBOARD: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD 760G (780L) Chipset DDR3 Socket AM3+ Micro-ATX w/ 7.1 Audio, GbLAN, USB3.0, SATA-III, 1 PCIe X16, 1 PCIe X1, & 2 PCI

MEMORY: 4GB (2x2GB) PC10666 DDR3/1333mhz Dual Channel Memory
AMD Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 16X PCIe Video Card

I'd look into a 8gb kit to start, that board is not all that great, good processors are 6300, fx 8320e (lowest prices, cooler a hyper evo 212 cools it down nicely, also need a 970 or 990 chipset, great budget board for overclocking and stability is the 97a-ud3p rev 3.0, both processors listed will run great on there
