No.to improve just the fps you upgrade the graphics card.

I thought it was also about rendering and recording with which the fx 8350 would be better afaik.

However, your existing RAM may not be compatible with the new mobo so you might need to get new RAM that is. And if you change motherboards, you would probably have to buy a new OS.

No, you do not have to change/replace your motherboard, although you will need to make sure the BIOS is at the correct version for the new CPU to work. Easy enough to update if not. Also, I added the CPU cooler since you may want to overclock (if you already have an aftermarket cooler you can drop the 212 EVO). Finally, if you keep your existing mobo, then you could get any of these R9 280X GPUs and still be within budget:

With the next program you can make a "sytem partslist",
hwinfo32
open it,click run, close the "system summary"=top window, click (left top) "save report",check=dot "short text report"and then next,in the next window you'll find the type off the gpu="graphics",you could also copy the info in that window here for us.
The name and model will also be found in the "sytem summary"at the right top corner as i look now.So you could look there also before closing it.

With an amd hd 7870 i probably would have said don't bother upgrading the gpu, with the 7850 there can be 10/15fps difference in games so upgrading to a r9 270x would help, altough the 7850 is still a nice card.

To me the cpu and psu would at least be nice upgrades, the gpu i don't know for sure. It's about what you expect from games too in that matter.
For the psu would a xfx 550watt pro be a nice one for instance.
