I wanna upgrade my cpu and motherboard but I don't know anything about computers
my specs are
500w psu
GTX 1060 6gb SC
Fx 8350 with stock cooler
ASUS M5A78L-M
24gb of ddr3 ram

Also don't mind upgrading the psu
I wanna upgrade so I can stream and game on the same pc without lagging

Solution
Whats your budget?
Fx is dead and not worth the money of used parts.
You can go ryzen like this
https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16819113496

https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16813119140

https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16820232476

https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16817438060

That comes up to 515.00ish
Then 25.00 rebate. So $490.ish+ shipping which the rebate from the power supply would cover.
Depending where you live check for a micro center near you if you buy mobo cpu they take $30 off at the register. Only in store purchase with them though.
Could be worth a drive depending where you live.

Solution
So hope that didn't bust the bubble but you didn't list your drives.
If you add in ssd's it will add to the cost.

Use m.2 for os
Then a 2.5 in sata for games

That would kick it upto around 711. Plus shipping and oops i forgot newegg is charging tax now so plus tax.
reuse what drives you have for bulk storage.
If you want a new gpu allow another 600.00 to move into a rtx 2000 series at that price you have options.
The 1060 would definitely stream for you and play games maybe not at the highest settings on some games but still would do a descent job and the rest of the build would support a higher gpu later.

But to all of this the ryzen 3000 series should be out about june.
Which will start dropping the prices of mobo and cpu's. Suggest to put it on hold for awhile and save up and do homework on your build.

Ok cool
The mobo would fit as your case is
Atx, matx, and itx listed.
Limiting factor is graphics card length it can be 9.8 in long which is about 248mm.
On a future gpu upgrade u would have to check gpu length before purchase. Some of the new rtx series are over 300mm.
I just looked at a zotac rtx 2070 that would fit at 211mm.
So there are cards of the new series that will work will just have to watch length.
