Hello! I was planning on upgrading my rig for better gaming performance and fps. But I am wondering about the Ryzen 5 1600 gonna be compatible with my current specs. If not, can you guys help me suggest some better options? I am sort of in a budget.
I am being told to change my motherboard as some are claiming that new processor will not support the current motherboard. Do you think i will be able to manage with my current specs?? I hope you will be able to help me with the build. Here are my current specs :

Motherboard: MSI 760GMA-P34(FX) (MS-7641)
CPU: AMD FX-6300
Ram: G.SKILL F3 DDR3 1600 C11 1x8GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 970
Hard drive: WD Blue 1TB (2012)
PSU: ALLIEO 500W

Solution
You need to start over, to be honest. That PSU is terrible quality, and your CPU options are basically 0. You could reuse your storage, and your graphics, to start, but you need to replace everything else. This would be a good start, but you might want to wait till B550 boards come out, next month.
