Question Need help upgrading on a budget

Ok, so I was originally going to get a whole new build and spend big bucks, but have had some family drama and can now not get that gtx 2080 ti build. However, I still have approximately 800 dollars to fiddle with. My stats are as follows:
- Fx-8350 4.0 GHz 8-core
-Gtx 1060-3gb GDDR5
-16 gb of DDR3 Ram
-120gb of ssd storage
-1tb of hdd storage
-500 watt power supply
-SkyTech Shadow Computer Case
-AM3+ 970 Chipset gaming motherboard

Help would be greatly appreciated, and just to clarify, I just want to upgrade and not make a new build as that would cost more money. However, if it turns out that it is in my best interest to upgrade, then I just might. Thank you!

I would be concerned about your power supply and whether or not it has the required power cables for a new graphics card. To be on the safe side, I'd recommend replacing it as well.

If you've got 800 Dollars, i'd salvage the GPU and Storage and go for a new build, you're basically as far as you can go on an AM3+ mobo.

Although it looks like from the Above comments that you can pretty much get the build you wanted anyway for that cash

On the graphics card, could I go a little higher and get the XC Ultra Gaming edition instead, so that way it has 2 fans?
