Basically I want to buy a graphics card such as GeForce 1050 TI for my PC but I'm not sure if my PC could handle it. It's a store bought PC I bought in 2013 so it's not that modern plus the parts aren't that expensive.

Basic summary of my PC:

MS-7778 (JasmineR) motherboard
AMD A10 processor
6 GB RAM
Integrated graphics card (hence why I need a new one)
1TB hard drive
300 Watts PSU

I've also provided a link down below for more in depth info on my PC. I'm not sure whether to upgrade this PC or to just build my own PC.

Any advice will be appreciated.

a gtx 1050 ti is just about as much gpu as an a10 can handle

in some cpu bound situations the cpu will be the bottleneck but not...

Should work, but your CPU might bottleneck it. Meaning, the GPU won't run at 100% capacity.

Also, you should note that anything from the 1000 series doesn't support VGA anymore. So, if your display only has VGA input, then you will need a convertor (not adapter) or a new display.

make sure the 1050 ti does NOT require a 6-pin pcie cable from the power supply

Hmm, what if I downgrade and buy the GTX 1050 OC 2GB GDDR5 instead? Plus my display supports DVI as well as VGA so would it work with DVI? And would my CPU be able to handle it? I've also seen people say that 300 watts PSU isn't enough, should I upgrade to a 500 watts?

How would I find out what pin pcie cable it would require?

by looking at the card before buying

if it has this then your 300w psu is not enough to run it

you want a card that runs only on the ~75w from the pcie slot itself
