Need help upgrading this old Gateway PC if possible!

Not really worth it... Unless you turn it into a cheap NAS for backups...

For that, add HDD's and Max the RAM out and go.

with an old non efi mb he limited to the max size the bios will see and use. for ram a lot of old pc 2g of tam was the max. he can go to crucial web page and run there system tests to see if the pc can take more ram. if the pc has pci video slot he need to change the power supply as it under powered for any gaming gpu.

yeah its out dated and the number of upgrades you could do is very limited not to mention cost in-effective. Time to dedicate it to a nas/file server or send to the big computer store in the sky!

Not really any 'upgrade' path.
If you change one thing, the rest of it is very underpowered.

So you have to change everything, and build a whole new PC.
