Need help /w computer upgrade(s) processor etc.

Unsure about a processor + any other insight is welcome

I purchased a computer awhile back when my old PC just couldn't cut it.
Money was a factor... i wanted something decent ... and cheap that could play games (wow SC2 etc.) with out lag / decent fps
So i got this computer off new egg a few months ago... with plans to upgrade it

so i check the CPU support list (above)
i see this on the list
Phenom IIX4 970 (HDZ970FBK4DGM),3.5GHz,125W,rev.C3,SocketAM3,Quad-Core

Same specs... but the
model numbers don't match

HDZ970FBK4DGM

i went to cross check others from the list and they did not show up on newegg

My question is will this processor work or do i need to keep looking...
any other info you feel will be helpful would be greatly appreciated

Edit- Do the heatsinks come with thermal paste or do i need to buy it
Edit#3- New egg power supply calculator says il be @ 461w( with upgrades) i have 500w power supply... good? or should i look into a new power supply as well

You might be ok on the ps. Depends on who makes it for cyberpower. If you don't want to overclock, try your old board first; no point in getting a premium board if you don't use it's features. All new heatsinks that I've bought have come with thermal paste or a pad (retail box cpus). Keep some $$ handy in case you need to replace the ps for an antec, corsair, seasonic, or ocz ps. I use ocz, and it's ok for moderate use.

the processor is compatible . however instead of upgrading the processor you could overclock the CPU with a 212 plus and then get a 6950. what's your budget

i did some more research after i posted found some info i was looking for Opn tray / opn pib codes

i am going to upgrade my ps

going to be very close + im not done /w upgrades going to do more as needed so might as well get my ps up to speed now

its the same socket and it think HDZ970FBGMBOX stands for open box or something
