Need Help w pci stuff

i have a question for all of you. i really need help.
Ok so i have a PCI Express 2.0 x8 slot. I was wondering that if i fit a newer card like a 4gb gddr5 nvidia gtx960, if itll work. because im thinking about getting it soon. And that card uses pci express 3.0

It will work fine, all the generations and x's are just theoretical bandwidth, a card like the 960 won't use all of that bandwidth.
