Hello,
I purchased a pc and it has 8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-12-28) Ram in it i would like to add another 8GB (1x8GB) Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz RAM Stick into it, would they work? i dont really care abount dual channel or anything i just want to know if they will function correctly and wont cause any errors or issues.
Thanks in Advanced,

Without buying a kit (a pair of 8Gb sticks) they may or may not play nice. Your best bet is actually to sell or trade to your local PC shop the one 8Gb stick and get a guaranteed pair. I know you say dual channel isn't a concern, but it does make the system snappier. It will most likely run in dual if both sticks work, and you may have to loosen the timings or increase the voltage to get them to play nice, but you're going to run into that with anything you buy that's not a matched set to begin with, there are just no guarantees with mixed RAM. If you get the mixed sets, there are a few people on here who can help you troubleshoot to get them both running.
