Need Help. Windows 7 Login Error.

Every time I attempt to login to my Asus PC, I get an error msg after I have entered my pass; something along the lines of "Profile Login Service Failed". I have seen fixes, however they do not seen to be applicable to my computer. Apparently I have to boot up the PC in safe mode, however when I press f8 on start up it doesn't take me to the standard boot up list, but two boot up options: one "Sata" and one a CD option. I have tried them both but neither seem to get past the problem. Any Help would be much appreciated.

I've attempted that method a couple times now but after pressing f8 it seems to take me to a different screen. It says:

'Please select boot device:

Sata:3M DT01ABA200
CDROM: 4S-TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-224'

Any suggestions?

Since you see the boot options from the BIOS, you press F8 too early. Wait until Windows starts booting and then press F8.

Cheers ^^ Turns out all i needed to do was esc that screen and continue to press f8.
