Also, this is a pretty nooby question, but do I need any fans for anything? I'm also thinking of overclocking so any suggestions for that would be helpful. Could you also suggest fans and such?

While the PSU limitation is a little tight, you don't necessarily need the TX650. I would get this PSU, and save 40$ from what the previous poster posted.

My budget is at maximum 700-800. I would not like to spend that much if necessary though.

The power supply I posted above has a higher amperage on the +12V rail than the one you picked, is made by the same company and is the same series, and is 5 dollars cheaper when you put in that promo code.....

If you want to include a monitor and windows 7, for the same price range, you are going to have to forget about adding a graphics card for right now. An OEM version of windows runs $80-90, and a decent, cheap entry level monitor is going to set you back at least 100$

If you HAVE to have the cpu AND the graphics card, you can save 23$ with a hyper 212+ cpu cooler rather than the arctic cooling cpu cooler. Alternatively, you can use the factory cooler, save the money, and not plan on overclocking until you have the money to buy a cooler that you want. Overclocking is not going to get you as far as putting more money into other components anyway.

$700 is not alot to work with if you insist on building it all at once, with an unlocked i5, and having to tack on windows and a monitor. If you want it all right now, go AMD.

the 3330 onboard gpu is the 2500 not the 400 as the 3540. as it a locked chip it run on any x7x chipset mb.
if your in school look to see if you can pick up windows at a discount.

Yes, I was planning on adding the monitor and the os with that, but I now sadly realize that that isn't going to happen. I am thinking of switching to amd, if so, how much would this cut the current cost? Also, I know this isn't really homebuilt, but I was looking on Walmart's website and was thinking of just getting one of their custom builds. Would this be a good idea? The total would be $788 with shipping. That includes a monitor and the OS.
I was going to upgrade the current graphics card that they include to the graphics card in the previous build and eventually get the I5 2550k when I have the money. Any suggestions? Also, I really need a wifi adapter for my soon-to-be desktop, could you guys recommend a nice cheap one?

the fx4100/fx 4200 will be faster then your older chip. you have a few things you can do. you can drop in a cheaper i3 that run better in games then the 4100.
the other option is switch to a amd apu system.
