I have a dell Inspiron 620 currently and I want to be able to play DayZ on atleast high settings. I don't have a great amount of cash to build a high end pc. I am not a hardcore pc gamer, just wanna be able to play DayZ.
Although DayZ may CPU intensive, is it possible for it to work on my i3-2100 processor, 2gb RAM

Can someone let me know if this is a good setup? For a low budget for about 300 or less cause currently do not have the funds for high end parts.

I was thinking of keeping the:
CPU - i3-2100 3.1ghz
stock hard drive
cd drive
wifi adapter

Upgrading to:
Mb- Asus z68
GPU - Amd r7 240
Power supply - Corsair Builder CX500
RAM - Corsair 2x2gb 1333

Solution
This is what I can do. Gets you 8GB of RAM, and a 270 with a quality PSU. This is the best you'll get at this budget.

Solution
Well it depends like I said on if you have XP or 32bit or not. 8GB of RAM and a 270 will get you high settings on DayZ. I play on Very High on pretty much everything with AF and AA set to very high with a GTX 760 at 1080p, and the 270 performs about 10% below that. Overclocked should do you pretty good :)

I'm talking about the GPU, not the CPU. Your CPU will be just fine for DayZ. Not great, by any means, but will be ok. The 240 will give you nothing in the way of graphics, which is why I was trying to get you the 270 at least.
