I think the time has finally come to scrap my current Frankenstein pc for a new model.
It will be the home pc used mostly for gaming and family video/photo editing.
My current PC is a dell shell with an Intel Core 2 6420 2.13 cpu with 4gb ram running Windows 7 64bit.
I have upgraded the PSU with a Antec 650w and the Video Card to a Radeon HD 5770 1GB.
I want to primarily play DCS World/A10c/P51 and ARMA 2. I can run DCS with decent results now but haven't even tried ARMA.
I would like to keep the budget around $500-600. Is that feasible to run those two at moderate to high graphics with decent fps?
Wide open on component brands.
Not looking to get into overclocking but could be a consideration if that is the best course of action.
Don't need monitor (would like to keep using 42" Sony 1080p) keyboard or mouse.
