Hi, I'm looking to build a nice gaming computer pretty soon but I mainly want to focus on great performance, upgradability, reliability. It would also be great if I could run modern games on Ultra settings. Thanks in advance!

P.S - This is my first PC build so go easy 😉

Will run ultra if you are playing at 1280x1024, Wont run 1080p ultra, Maybe medium high @ 1080p, But anything under that you should be okay

EDIT: The price range you are wanting at is hard to get a highend gaming rig that you are wanting (if thats what your looking for) This system will be a great start for you, and will allow any upgrade possible, you can even get a full size case and use the microatx MOBO in that if you like.

EDIT2: I would wait till windows 10 comes out. As if the rumours are correct, It should be free. Then you can spend the extra 100$ towards the GPU or something.
