Need help with A buget recommendation PC Upgrade

I've owned a Alienware x51 r2 for 4 years and regret not building my own pc. Now that I have a better gpu (1070) I want to upgrade to a new case and have a higher cpu that won't break bank. Can someone help recommend some ideas under 300.

First off. X51 r2 uses ddr3 Ram, so that would need to be another for in the above suggestion.

Second.op could you post your system specs? Because X51 r2 ranges from i3~i7... Can't recommend anything until we know exact specs

My Cpu has an i7 4770
Gpu 1070 Asus Turbo
8gb Ram
Windows 10

Looking at your specs. Upgrading Ram will benefit you a bit, and the PC Case for looks/air flow

Wait until summer ish for Ryzen 3rd Gen. It'll cost you about 400-450 for a platform upgrade. At this time, just hold onto your money, you've got plenty of power in that system for now.
